The only swim team built for this neighborhood
Race Swami Belle Haven is more than a swim team. We are a USA Swimming club and an enrichment program for families in Belle Haven, East Palo Alto and the surrounding communities, and we are the only USA Swimming program on the Peninsula built specifically to serve economically disadvantaged youth.
We take the money question off the table. Membership is $75 a month, financial assistance is always available, and the team supplies the gear a swimmer needs. Beyond the pool we offer free tutoring and academic support, because a Swami's success in the classroom should match their success in the water.
Swimming
Three training groups at the Belle Haven Pool, coached by an ASCA-certified staff. All ages and skill levels welcome, any time of year.
Enrichment
One-on-one tutoring from volunteers who studied at Cal, Duke, Virginia and Princeton, plus campus visits, workshops and a summer book club.
Becoming a Swami
Free tryouts year round and a one-week trial, so your family and our coaches can both be sure it is the right fit before you commit.

The Belle Haven Pool
Practices are held at the pool on the Belle Haven Community Campus, 100 Terminal Avenue, a short walk or ride from most of the neighborhood. Come by during a practice and watch; Coach Naji is happy to talk.
